Steve Pascolo

Steve Pascolo is a pioneer in mRNA vaccine development and a co-founder of CureVac, where he served as the Chief Scientific Officer from 2000 to 2006. During this time, he advanced synthetic mRNA production and initiated the world’s first clinical studies with mRNA-based vaccines.
Steve later joined the University Hospital Zurich, where he continues to develop RNA-based immunotherapies. He has built an academic mRNA platform that drives collaborations to optimise, test, and implement innovative mRNA vaccines and therapeutic applications.
